Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the WorkClan platform (“Service”) provided by WorkClan (“we”, “us”). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
• One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account.

If you register a workspace (create a company account), you are the Workspace Administrator. As an administrator, you:

• Are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with applicable law, including employment and data protection law.
• Are the data controller for your employees’ data processed through WorkClan.
• Must obtain any necessary consents from employees before entering their personal data.
• Are responsible for the actions of anyone you invite to your workspace.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or another company’s data.
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any malicious code.
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service in bulk.
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm other users.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We process personal data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and, where applicable, the GDPR.

We aim to keep WorkClan available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. We are not liable for any loss caused by downtime.

WorkClan and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Your data (employee records, announcements, reports) remains your property. We claim no ownership over it.

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Security → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, with or without notice.

Upon termination, your data will be retained for up to 30 days (for recovery purposes) then permanently deleted, as described in our Privacy Policy.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WorkClan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
